When you register for the Patient Portal and/or to make payments, we may collect your (a) first and last name; (b) email address, (c) password, (d) physical address, (e) date of birth and (f) phone number.
When you make a one-time payment through the Site, we may collect (a) your PaymentsMD account number; (b) first and last name; (c) address; and (d) payment information (e.g., credit card data) so our third-party vendor can process your payments. Note, we do not store your credit card information, however we will retain authorization codes for the transactions you request.
If you request billing information for a patient in our database, we may request (a) the patient’s social security number; (b) your federal tax ID; (c) your email; (d) your response to a security question.
We use our web server, to gather information from your browser, including IP address and username so that we may monitor failed login attempts on the Site.

Why am I receiving multiple bills for the same visit?
Patients should be advised that they may receive different bills for different services and different providers such as the physician and the hospital.
What information will I need to pay online?
The patient will need the billing account number from the statement and the name of the hospital.
What credit cards are accepted?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
How do you secure your online transactions?
PaymentsMD's secure transaction portal is protected with the latest encryption software from VeriSign, an industry leader in secure transaction software.
What are the differences between primary and secondary insurance plans?
Primary coverage is provided through the plan of which you are a member, most likely through your employer.
Secondary coverage is usually the result of your spouse’s health insurance plan and provides reimbursement for medical expenses after exhaustion of coverage available through the primary plan.
Secondary coverage can also be a supplemental plan such as AARP, which could reduce your responsibility as supplemental plans will be secondary to your Medicare and decrease your out-of-pocket expense. Your supplemental insurance information should be provided along with your primary insurance information at time of visit.

How can I send a payment by mail?
Check or credit card payments may be sent by mail. Each physician group has its own Post Office Box, so please refer to your statement for the appropriate mailing address.
